THE GRIZZLIES Trailer [HD] Mongrel Media

GRIZZLIES_THE_01.jpg
Russ Sheppeard is a freshly educated school teacher. To find work he moves to Kugluktuk, a small town further north than he’s ever been. Unprepared and with no knowledge of the town’s statistics as one with the highest suicide rates in North America, he is overwhelmed by the numerous social issues the town’s youth population are dealing with. Looking for a way to encourage and unite his students he introduces a lacrosse program at the school. The program is met with skepticism and humiliation at first, but the commitment from Russ slowly starts to win the trust from his students, and they form their own team: The Grizzlies.

THE GRIZZLIES is a heartwarming and moving film about the spirit, tenacity and leadership of Inuit youth, persisting in spite of immense pressure and hardship.
