Art student Mona (Manal Issa) meets the retired and disillusioned Ulysses (Éric Cantona). The ageing Ulysses, once a famous artist, has left his family and home for a reclusive life in the french countryside, struggling to cope with his own self-loathing. Filled with admiration for Ulysses’ artistic skills, Mona soon finds herself trying to convince the much older artist out of his hiatus. Thus starts their jurney full of intriguing twists and turns.

ULYSSES & MONA is a warm and funny film where director Sébastien Betbeder truly gives his actors a chance to shine. Not since his heyday on the football pitches of England have you witnessed such an inspired performance from Éric Cantona.
