Director Hernaiz Pidal’s project is to follow female characters who live on “the edge”, and to make films about ordinary people living in and rebelling against today’s society. Her directing style is naturalistic, and the language of the film, notably also the camera placement and movement, is fully consistent to the film’s story: An intense, hectic and deeply touching mom-daughter relationship. And, yes, the main characters are mother and daughter also in real life.
