In order to boost their relationship, the wealthy couple Otavio and Gilda take part in an ordeal that includes both sex and cannibalism – gruesomely affecting the employees in the couple’s seaside mansion in Fortaleza. These bizarre activities are shared with other members of the Brazilian elite, hence the name "The Cannibal Club". But when Gilda walks in on the club president in a delicate situation, it's suddenly the rich couple who are in great danger.
The banal wickedness of the ruling class is taken to the extreme in this film, and the story underlines the terrible consequences of Brazilian societal challenges caused by extreme polarization and economic differences. The film is a biting (sic) satire, a bloody dish accompanied with large doses of black humor. To eat or be eaten, that is the question.
