“This story takes place along routes of transportation and in blind spots, in anonymous non-rooms and spaces in-between spaces, in stairways, back seats, doorways, corridors, locker rooms, waiting rooms, on walkways and highways. BLIND SPOT is constantly making use of the dynamics between entirety and absence, the visible and the invisible, and especially of how what is inside the frame of the image relates to what has been called cinema’s “hidden rooms” or “blind spots”; Meaning that the blind spot is something that always lies outside (and in direct continuation of) the frame of the image, as a constant, invisible presence.” –Eirik Frisvold Hanssen (Excerpt from Analysen, Montages.no)

BLIND SPOT is an intensely emotional film, told in an unusual way, as it captures the build-up to and the immediate after effects of a catastrophic event in one single, uninterrupted take. Bravura performances can be found both by cinematographer Jonas Alarik and main actress Pia Tjelta, in her most impressive film role to date.
