Program 2019

anna_and_the_apocalypse_-_trailer_-_tiff_2019

It is Christmas time in Little Haven, a small town in Scotland. Anna argues with her father, because she wants to have a year off rather than going to university. Unfortunately, Anna soon finds herself in a bigger trouble, as a viral zombie outbreak unleashes. With a rowdy band of friends, she tries to bash her way to the school where her father is working as a janitor.

ANNA AND THE APOCALYPSE resembles films like SHAUN OF THE DEAD and ZOMBIELAND, with its mix of violence and humor, but it is also a highschool drama and a full-blooded musical! Anna and her teenage companions sing and dance through the streets of small-town Scotland, looking for a way out, with hordes of zombies on their heels. With its exciting mix of genres, and a cast of likeable characters, ANNA AND THE APOCALYPSE is a fresh breath to the zombie genre. It’s probably the best feelgood-zombie-Christmas-musical you will see in a while.
