Gaspar Noé is coming to TIFF
- We are very pleased that Gaspar Noé guests this year's TIFF. Noé is known as a provocateur, but is also a great film artist, and with CLIMAX he appears to reach a wider audience than usual, says head of Verdensteatret cinematek Sveinung Wålengen.
- It's enormously gratifying. The film is of later years one of the most intense and seductive film experiences - even if it is ever so nightmarish.
In the film we meet a group of dancers who practice in an abandoned school building off the beaten track, ending the session with a nice party and a bowl of cooling Sangria. Gradually they realize that the Spanish summer drink is spiked with "something extra," and the mood of the venue turns into a nightmare of hallucinations and manic dancing.
- We in Another World Entertainment are thrilled that one of our favorite directors are coming to Norway to visit the audience at TIFF. This is an honor, and it will be a great experience for everyone to see CLIMAX together with the director on the biggest canvas we could find, says Marius Olsen, general manager of Another World Entertainment.
- Bring out the sangria. Run the film. We're ready to party.
