A storm brings the most amazing waves, but this one turns out to be the biggest one to make landfall in twenty-five years. It’s just too risky to jump into the sea. Bummer. The disappointment of this surfer’s Paradise Lost is the start-off point for UNDER AN ARCTIC SKY, a film about an American surf crew on a trip to Iceland. However, on the way back to the airport, they stumble over something even more amazing than the perfect wave... Get ready for some hard-core cold water surfing! The film’s title says it all.
UNDER AN ARCTIC SKY will be screened together with NORTH OF THE SUN (Norway 2012), by directors Inge Wegge and Jørn Ranum. The directors spent 9 months of cold, Norwegian winter in the isolated bay in the Lofoten Islands, cleaning up the beach and surfing the amazing waves.
