Program 2018

Hideo panics when his girlfriend Kanako comes home with the news that she has lost her job. As an unemployed actor (he turns down the roles he is being offered out of vanity), he is living off her salary. He comes up with a plan: to land Kanako a job at a professional wrestling organization, a sport he loves more than anything. However, what initially seemed like a good plan quickly takes a turn for the worse. Hideo soon finds himself caught up in a mess fueled by jealousy and insecurity.

THE RINGSIDE STORY is full of comic and absurd twists and turns only a relationship can take. At the same time, it is a film about daring to take a risk, and a tribute to those who are willing to fight for what they really believe in. Who knows, in the end the gamble might even pay off?
