Bosnian war survivor Vesna moved with her family to Zagreb 20 years ago, away from the events that almost destroyed her life. She is now a middle-aged woman that lives a quiet daily life as a mother and a nurse. One day, out of the blue, she receives a call from her husband Žarko, who left the family when the war started. His reappearance brings back the memory of a secret she has been hiding all these years. It also spins her carefully reconstructed life out of control, endangering her new identity.
The fear of the past keeps echoing in Vesna's head. She reluctantly reconnects with the man who forced her to fear for her safety, flee her home and forge a new life.
