25-year-old Ivan is living in a small, freezing cold and remote Russian village. He works as a cowhand and leads a rather routine and uneventful life. Then one day a stranger approaches him and offers him a job, and without any hesitation or questions, Ivan follows him to the promising, unknown city.
The story is as simple as the narrative is straightforward and without much ado.
