Northern Italy, summer of 1983: 17-year-old Elio spends sunny days in a beautiful, old villa with his family. Elio’s mother is a translator and his father an archeologist and art historian, specializing in Greco-Roman sculptures. He invites a student to the house every summer and this year the charming Oliver arrives. An unexpected and passionate relationship develops between Elio and the new guest.
CALL ME BY YOUR NAME is a lovely family tale doused in summer sun and sensuality. It portrays young love at its most ravishing and heartbreaking in a touchingly human way.
