European societies have debated the consequences of immigration for years. The last decade has seen religion and culture replace social issues at the forefront of the debate. Extreme opinions have become more widespread, and claims that Europe is threatened by cultural warfare are surprisingly frequent.
The program “Present Tense: Europe” takes up the question of integration in Europe today. In light of this, there will be a panel who debates these controversial and provocative topics. Everything from racial culture to immigration are issuses that often can be seen as inflammatory and difficult to discuss.
